No. Should the social worker recommend in-patient treatment following your assessment, admission is usually arranged within 2 to 3 days. However one of our prerequisites is a negative Covid 19 test result not older than 48hrs and this usually will take you a day or 2 to complete.

  • 4. How long is the programme?

Our in-patient programme begins with a 3 week stay-in and this followed by a 2 year aftercare programme.

Our Out-Patient programme is of 12 month duration. The programme begins with a 3 month intensive phase followed by 9 months of aftercare.

  • 5. What is the difference between Out-Patient and In-Patient treatment.

The out-patient programme enables the patient to continue living at home, attend work or school daily while being involved in the programme. The programme requires that the patient be very well motivated and display consistent commitment to keeping treatment appointments regularly. This programme is suitable for a person who is not at risk of experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms.

The in-patient programme requires that the patient live at the facility for the duration of the in-patient programme. This type of patient usually requires more intensive medical and therapeutic treatment.

  • 6. Who conducts treatment?

We employ a multi-disciplinary team which consists of qualified social workers, nurses, general medical practitioners, consulting psychiatrist, spiritual counsellor and a sessional occupational therapist.

  • 7. How do you conduct drug testing and how soon do you get results?

Our nurse collects a urine sample from the patient and deposits the sample into a pre-marked bottle. We use 6 panel dipstick test kit which tests for drugs such as Cannabis, Whoonga, Crack Cocaine, Tik, Ecstacy and prescription drugs.

The results of the test are ready in 15 minutes.
